Communicating over the internet requires educating your client base, and that means putting forth information that’s to be digested by many different people with many different learning styles. Some people are readers, some are aural learners, and many people are visual.
Therefore, a smart marketer is going to have a method of communication that meets everyone’s needs. And thanks to technology, quality audio and video production is available to everyone for a fraction of the cost even 10 years ago. A digital camera and a microphone can make anyone into an amateur producer.
That said, content still rules. Creative businesses can make video journals and post them on YouTube and their site. Budding talk show hosts can record their thoughts and play them as streaming internet radio, or as podcasts (downloadable audio shows that can be loaded onto an MP3 player, like an iPod). Like anything else online, you’re only limited by your own imagination.
